Tasnim news agency: An informed source rejected claims about Qatar’s involvement in decisions related to the Strait of Hormuz and said this strait is located only in Iran’s and Oman’s internal and territorial waters. Therefore, any decision-making regarding its management will be made by the two coastal countries.

The source said Qatar’s presence in Iran–Oman negotiations is limited to its role of mediation and consultation with other countries in the region, in accordance with clause 5 of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding.
