TankerTrackers’ maritime tracking service announced that at least 17 ship-to-ship transfers of crude oil and gas took place in the Strait of Hormuz on Friday, 13 Shahrivar.
According to the service’s report on X, at least 24 million barrels were exchanged in those operations. TankerTrackers described that day as a “busy day.” The transfers involved crude oil as well as liquefied natural gas and petroleum liquid gas.
TankerTrackers added that it also identified at least 7.25 million barrels along with two other liquefied natural gas tankers that had gathered in the Strait of Hormuz for passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
Based on the same report, this transit is carried out under the protection of U.S. Central Command’s command.
