❌ Syrian officials: An advanced weapons shipment near the Iraq border intended for Hezbollah’s terrorist group in Lebanon was seized, and long-range missiles, guided anti-tank missiles, and drones that had been hidden in a tanker were confiscated.

According to statements by an Iraqi official cited by Al Jazeera, the operation took place on July 7, but Syria did not inform Iraq until it finished its investigations.

The official said that the detained driver confessed to cooperating with staff at the Al Walid border crossing to facilitate these shipments, which led to Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al Sudani ordering investigations.
