Sergei Ryabkov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, said Moscow does not rule out a trilateral meeting of the leaders of Russia, the United States, and China.

According to the state-run news agency TASS, he added that before practical preparations begin, it must be clarified what the meeting’s agenda is.

Ryabkov said: “The main question here comes down to how the content of the meeting will be drafted and what result we can expect.”

Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Kremlin, had raised the possibility of such a meeting between Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump, and Xi Jinping last week on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.

Based on a report by the South China Morning Post, the said meeting will be held on 27 and 28 Aban in Shenzhen, China. The White House has not confirmed Mr. Trump’s attendance.
