🔶 "Riyadh asked its allies for help to strengthen its air defenses"

The Associated Press on Thursday, September 17 (26 Shahrivar), reported on Saudi Arabia’s request to some countries for help strengthening its air defenses. Apparently, the country has been facing a reduction in its stockpiles of interceptor missiles due to the continuation of clashes and Houthi attacks supported by Iran.

Citing two officials, the Associated Press reported that Saudi Arabia has asked France, Britain, Pakistan, and Egypt to deploy air-defense equipment and capabilities to the region in order to counter the missiles and drones of the Houthis and other groups backed by the Islamic Republic.

According to one of these officials, the request for assistance was made in a situation in which the stockpiles of interceptor missiles from the United States—Saudi Arabia’s main allies and a supplier of weapons—have been reduced during the war with the Islamic Republic.
