Reports indicate public protests in Ukraine following the dismissal of the defense minister by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Mykhailo Fedorov was the key architect of successful operations against Russia’s energy infrastructure and oil tankers in recent months, and his dismissal has been met with a negative reaction from public opinion.
The reason for dismissing this key minister has not yet been announced, but previously Ukrainian media had reported that he had disagreements with other members of the government’s cabinet.
Recently, the Ukrainian parliament accepted the resignation of Yulia Svyrydenko, the prime minister, only one year after her appointment, and on Thursday Serhii Kortsіky, CEO of the Ukrainian oil and gas company, replaced her.
