Raha Bahraini, a lawyer and researcher at Amnesty International on Iran, said that this organization, by publishing a new report, has called for the establishment of an international criminal mechanism to address what it calls “crimes against humanity” during the crackdown on the 1401 protests.
According to her, in addition to urging that the case of Iran be referred to the International Criminal Court by the UN Security Council, Amnesty International has also asked the UN General Assembly that, if there is a deadlock in the Security Council, it take action to create a special international mechanism in order to end the impunity of those responsible for the crackdown.
