At the end of their third joint meeting in Doha, Qatar and Singapore, in a statement, emphasized the necessity of the safety and freedom of navigation and the free passage and transit of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

In the statement, both sides expressed their deep concern about the situation in the Middle East, especially regarding the resumption of tensions between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Qatar and Singapore stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to reach a peaceful and sustainable solution to end the dispute, and Singapore thanked Qatar for its efforts to facilitate dialogue and reduce tensions.

In the statement, the two countries emphasized the need to respect the rights and freedoms of navigation and called for the return of safe, unimpeded, and continuous passage for ships and aircraft through the Strait of Hormuz.

Qatar and Singapore also announced their concern regarding the continued threats to navigation security in the Red Sea, by Houthi rebels.
