🔶 Pejman Jamshidi was definitively acquitted of allegations of rape and adultery
Ali Mohammadzadeh, Jamshidi’s lawyer, said in an interview with Fars News Agency that the final verdict in his client’s case has been issued and, based on it, Jamshidi has been conclusively acquitted of the charges of rape and adultery.
Jamshidi’s lawyer said that in the issued ruling, his client was convicted only regarding the charge of “illicit relationship,” or a non-adultery relationship, and sentenced to 99 lashes. He added that the verdict can be appealed through the Supreme Court and that he will file an appeal within the legal deadline.
Mohammadzadeh said his defense is that if such an allegation is established, under the law a judicial decision must be made about both parties to the relationship and a ruling issued.
Meanwhile, Milika Parasdost, the complainant in the case, confirmed the issuance of the 99-lash sentence for Pejman Jamshidi in an interview with Emtehdad.
