Masoud Pezeshkian, head of the government of the Islamic Republic, in response to the economic pressures by the United States on the Iranian government, wrote on X: “If Americans are warlike, let them face our brave armed forces. Why do they start a war against non-military infrastructure, food supplies, and people’s livelihoods?” He added: “If they are human, why do they deprive people of access to water, food, and medicine?”
