Kuwait’s army said the country’s air defense is currently countering “hostile missile and drone attacks” and explained that the sound of potential explosions could be due to the interception of these attacks. At the same time, Bahrain’s Ministry of the Interior reported that a danger alarm has sounded and asked citizens and residents to remain calm and go to the nearest safe location. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had carried out an attack on targets in these two countries and had claimed that it carried out a retaliatory measure against the United States. Reuters also reported that Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity stated that power in all residential areas that had experienced outages had been restored after several aerial power lines were taken out of service and then returned to operation. Bahrain’s Electricity and Water Authority also said a limited power outage in several areas had been resolved. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had previously claimed attacks on U.S. military targets in Kuwait and Bahrain.
