🔶 Kalibaf threatens to attack U.S. oil and gas facilities in the region

Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, on Monday, 16 Shahrivar (7 September), in a message on the social network X, warned that if assets of Iran are attacked, American companies and oil and gas facilities in the region will be targeted.

Qalibaf wrote: “The oil and gas production chain in the region is extensive, accessible and vulnerable, and American companies and facilities in the region face the same vulnerability.”

He emphasized that any attack on Iran’s assets will be met with a reciprocal response.

The Iranian parliament speaker referred to bases that, according to him, “are no longer usable.” Qalibaf did not name these bases and did not provide any document for his claim.

Officials of the Islamic Republic, including Qalibaf, repeat their threats against neighboring countries in the Persian Gulf region almost on a daily basis.
