🔶 Jordan “tracked” eight missiles launched from Iran
According to Jordanian officials, “after Iranian missiles violated Jordan’s airspace, air-raid sirens sounded in this country.”
Jordan’s official news agency also says that the country’s air defenses tracked eight missiles fired from Iran toward this country.
The government spokesperson announced that all these missiles were “tracked and destroyed.” Officials told the country’s news agency that no casualties or material damage resulting from these interceptions has been reported.
The U.S. Embassy in Jordan also warned about the incident and said it has been reviewing the situation and will provide updated information. The United States has deployed its military personnel and aircraft in this country.
The entry of the missiles into Jordan’s airspace comes amid a new wave of clashes and exchanges of fire between the United States and Iran in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement claiming that it “crushed the enemy command-and-control center in West Asia and the enemy air base in Al-Zarq, Jordan, with 10 ballistic missiles.”
