Jerusalem Post reported that the foreign ministers of Israel and Morocco agreed in a trilateral meeting with the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations in New York on a package of steps to improve relations between the two countries and advance the Abraham Accords.

Under the agreement, Israel and Morocco will upgrade the level of their diplomatic representations to embassies, appoint ambassadors, increase the number of flights between the two countries, and hold high-level meetings in the coming months.

The two sides also agreed to finalize agreements related to supporting investment and preventing double taxation by the end of 2026.

Gideon Sa’ar said the signed statement “sets out practical ways to improve Israel–Morocco relations for the benefit of the people of the two countries.”
