🔻IRGC says it attacked an American ship

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ navy says it attacked an American ship.

According to Iranian news agencies, the IRGC said in a statement that the ship intended to enter the “protected area” of the Strait of Hormuz.

Earlier, in the late hours of Saturday, the IRGC’s navy said in a statement that, in response to attacks by American forces on three Iranian oil tankers, it targeted three oil tankers that were passing through the “unauthorized routes” in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as three other American vessels in other areas. The United States has not yet commented on these attacks.

CENTCOM, the U.S. Central Command, announced on Saturday morning that American forces attacked three Iranian oil tankers, including a tanker near the coasts of Kharg Island, which is considered the main hub for Iran’s oil exports.
