The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says it attacked two ships that intended to leave the Strait of Hormuz via an “unsafe route” on Sunday.

In a further statement, the IRGC Navy said that four “non-compliant” ships, by turning off their navigation systems and ignoring warnings from the Hormuz Strait control base of the IRGC Navy, intended to disrupt and exit the Strait of Hormuz through an unsafe route; two of them suffered incidents, stopped in place, and the other two decided against continuing their voyage.

So far, no international bodies have confirmed these attacks.

In its statement, the IRGC further claimed that “control of the Strait of Hormuz is in the complete possession of this force.”
