A person who this week attended the funeral ceremony of Ayatollah Khamenei with his face covered, sparking rumors and curiosity throughout Iran, was Mohammad Javad Khamenei, the eldest grandson of the leader’s son, Mustafa Khamenei. According to reports, he attended with his face covered because, in an attack in which his grandfather was killed, he had suffered burns to his face.
