Hamid Qanbari, Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy, on Monday 23 Shahrivar, at a meeting of the deputies of the Secretariat and the managing directors of the free trade zones and special economic zones, announced that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic has begun drafting a comprehensive sanctions map.
The deputy foreign minister for economic diplomacy said: “The Islamic Republic needs a specialized and permanent institution to monitor sanctions, reduce their effects, and coordinate among the different agencies.”
Hamid Qanbari also said: “We must accept that sanctions will continue in the long term and we must be prepared for their continuation; at the same time, we can negotiate to lift sanctions.”
He announced that if the Islamic Republic is fully prepared to continue the sanctions, “the other side cannot enter negotiations with an approach of maximum pressure.
