— Euronews: On Thursday, in response to a deadly attack on a wedding ceremony in southern Iran in which at least 4 people, including a child, were killed, Iran attacked U.S. military targets in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
Kuwait said it intercepted a missile and drone attack. Iran claimed it targeted the Ahmad Al-Jaber Air Base in Kuwait.
Iran also claimed it attacked the Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates, but UAE officials rejected the claim.
JD Vance, the U.S. vice president’s deputy, said Washington is reviewing the attack on the wedding ceremony, but it is skeptical about Iran’s account of the incident.
While Iran has restricted the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz and the U.S. continues a reciprocal blockade of Iranian ports, tensions in the region remain at a high level.
