🔺Dissolution of the “Syrian Democratic Forces” and continuation of integration; Kurdish women fighters negotiate for joining Syria’s security structure

▪Kurdish women forces who, during years of Syria’s civil war, fought alongside the U.S.-backed forces against ISIS, are negotiating with the new government of that country in search of a place within its new security structure. These talks are being carried out within the broader process of integrating former armed groups into state institutions and unifying Syria’s military and security structure.
