Russia and China blocked a draft resolution prepared with the aim of discussing developments related to Iran’s nuclear program and related actions.

Moscow and Beijing emphasized that any action in the Security Council should be aimed at supporting the diplomatic process and encouraging dialogue.

Both countries believe that the Iran nuclear issue should be addressed through negotiations and the International Atomic Energy Agency, while also preserving the possibility of reviving the nuclear agreement.
