🔶 CENTCOM releases a video of the sinking of a vessel in the Oman Sea

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Sunday, September 6 (15 Shahrivar), that the “M/T Kilo” tanker sank during an operation by American forces in waters of the Oman Sea.

CENTCOM, publishing a video on the X platform, emphasized that the vessel “was damaged thanks to the accuracy and professionalism of U.S. forces,” and went under water.

The incident comes as tensions involving the U.S. and Iran continue to escalate without precedent, along with exchanges of fire between American and Iranian forces in the waters of the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Oman Sea; clashes in recent days have intensified as both sides have targeted multiple oil tankers and warships.

Hours before announcing this news, CENTCOM had reported that three Iranian vessels were targeted after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps fired ballistic missiles toward two U.S. warships. According to CENTCOM, these attacks took place after the IRGC fired ballistic missiles at the two U.S. warships.
