🔺Canadian Conservative leader calls for deportation of people suspected of working for Iran’s IRGC

▪The leader of Canada’s Conservative Party called for the deportation of individuals suspected of carrying out activities for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

▪Pierre Poilievre, on Thursday, in a post on the social media platform X, referred to media reports stating that Mohammadreza Ghaffouri-Fard, the son of Hassan Ghaffouri-Fard—deputy to the president during the era of Hashemi Rafsanjani—received more than $2 million in Canadian government contracts while under investigation.

▪Poilievre wrote that the person was identified due to concerns related to national security and has been under investigation on accusations of helping the Iranian government develop missile systems and carrying out procurement and logistical activities that benefited the IRGC.
