Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, said at the ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of Operation Entebbe that Israel is systematically crushing the axis of evil of the Islamic Republic, which had sought to carry out a plan to destroy this country.

He added: “The Islamic Republic is the axis that, by creating a ring of terrorism around us, has pursued this plan.”

Netanyahu said: “Since the massacre of October 7, we have turned the page. We have struck the oppressors—from Gaza to Yemen and from Lebanon to Iran. We have removed an immediate and existential threat from ourselves; including the immediate threat arising from the Islamic Republic’s efforts to obtain nuclear weapons.”
