🔻Baqaei, citing Qatar’s official report, claimed: Iran’s attacks were exclusively against military targets in the region

Ismail Baqaei, spokesperson of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, citing a new report released by Qatar’s government, claimed that all Iran’s military attacks on countries in the region were directed at “military targets.”

Mr. Baqaei, on Thursday, wrote on social media: “The State of Qatar, in an official document it submitted to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), has confirmed that Iran’s defensive attacks against U.S. forces deployed on Qatari soil were exclusively ‘directed at U.S. military installations.’”

In the next part, this diplomat of the Iranian government referred to the “only case” in Qatar’s report about the targeting of the country’s energy facilities, and wrote: “The only exception to the claims made by Qatar is an attack on a gas facility on March 18. But even in this case, we should take into account that at that time the facility was serving America’s aggressive operations against Iran.”

At the end, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson referred to U.S. air attacks and claimed that his country, “unlike the U.S. Army,” did not inflict damage on non-military targets: “Compare this reality—namely Iran’s precision and care in identifying the targets to be attacked—with the United States’ record in repeated attacks on civilians and non-military targets; schools, hospitals, residential areas, wedding ceremonies, bridges, and other such cases.”

CENTCOM, which commands the war against Iran, has repeatedly emphasized that “U.S. forces do not target noncombatants,” and has confirmed that investigations into cases such as the Sabjereh Tayyibah school in Minab and the sports club in Larestan, and now a wedding in Dehstek Sirik, are on its agenda.

However, the delay and prolonged timeline in announcing the results and publishing the investigation report related to the Minab school by the Pentagon has faced extensive criticism in the United States.
