As U.S. attacks on Islamic Republic positions continue and concerns grow about the expansion of the war, 268 political and civil activists, university professors, and a former member of parliament, in a statement titled “We Do Not Want War,” called for an immediate end to hostilities.
This statement, which is considered the first collective position from within Iran since the recent attacks began, emphasized the Iranian people’s right to live in peace and announced its opposition to the continuation of the war and any kind of war-mongering.
