🔶 Amjad Amini: They do not allow us a simple mourning
Amjad Amini, on the fourth anniversary of the killing of his daughter, Zhina Mahsa Amini, wrote, with confirmation that the routes leading to Aichi cemetery were blocked: “Although those who do not allow a simple mourning for us and blocked the routes leading to Aichi cemetery, we saw how today all of Kurdistan—from Oshnavieh to Kermānshāh—proved that the hearts of these people cannot be blocked.”
The father of Mahsa Amini, by publishing a statement on his Instagram page, while expressing gratitude to the people who accompanied his family on the fourth anniversary of his daughter’s death, added: “In these difficult days, amid all the problems and economic and livelihood pressures, keeping shops closed and giving up work is not easy for anyone. This very companionship and kindness makes the value of this solidarity for us even greater.”
Images and reports released from the morning of Wednesday, 25 Shahrivar, showed that shopkeepers and bazaar merchants in a number of Kurdish-inhabited cities went on strike. Large sections of the markets were closed, and security forces have a strong presence across these cities.
