Abdolhossein Khosropanah, secretary of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, said on Monday, 23 Shahrivar, in an interview with ISNA, that “for almost all women who do not observe compulsory hijab, they have no stubbornness with the system and the government, and this issue stems from the change in their individual lifestyle.”
Abdolhossein Khosropanah also added: “Regarding hijab, there is a need for a national command center based on scientific actions. Of course, we are still at war right now. Therefore, many decisions must be wise and precise.”
The secretary of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution said: “In resolving this issue, we should not be in a hurry, because with haste and without scientific work, the desired and successful result will not be achieved.”
He went on to announce: “Instead of criminalizing hijab, we should move toward labeling it as a violation and using tools such as text-message reminders.”
