Abbas Goudarzi, the spokesman of the Presidium of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, said: “Economic siege is, in reality, not the goal; rather, it is a tool and a means, and the enemy is seeking the collapse of the Islamic Republic and wants to increase dissatisfaction within and create a basis for its own strategies.”
A representative from Borujerd in the Parliament said: “The Islamic Republic has many cards yet to be played. Just as the era of face-to-face confrontation in the military arena has ended, in the economic arena too, they will play it. They take (advantage) and today, if Iran’s ships are unable to transit, then no ship will be able to transit.”
