The Houthi military spokesperson said that a wide military operation involving dozens of ballistic missiles and drones was carried out against the King Khalid air base in Saudi Arabia.
Yahya al-Sari‘ said the operation targeted the aircraft hangars, radar systems, runways, and important ammunition stores of the base, resulting in “direct hits and remarkable damage.”
Al-Sari‘ described the attack as a response to more than 300 airstrikes by Saudi Arabia on Yemen’s provinces over the past five days. According to him, Saudi attacks were carried out using F-15 and Typhoon fighter jets.
He added that Houthi forces will continue operations deep inside Saudi territory as long as the “aggression” continues, and that any new aggression will be met with a broader and more severe operation.
