Donald Trump, the U.S. president, has signed an executive order under which federal agencies are required to replace the terms “artificial intelligence (AI)” with “superintelligence (SI)” in their official communications.

Based on this order, all official communications of the U.S. government must henceforth use the new wording, and previous terms are to be dropped from government documents.

More interestingly, some CEOs of major companies around the world, including AMD, Google, Tesla, SpaceX, Meta, and Anthropic, have accepted this name change
