The International Organization for Migration of the United Nations said on Monday that, following the continued fighting between Yemen’s government forces and the Houthis, nearly 94,000 more people have been displaced across the country.
In a statement, the organization said: “The International Organization for Migration and its partners are providing assistance in affected areas and continuing to monitor the displacement situation.”
The International Organization for Migration also called for urgent support to meet the needs of families that have been recently displaced.
In this regard, Turkey’s Anadolu Agency, citing Farhan Haq, the Deputy Spokesman of the United Nations, reported that since the beginning of September, at least 18,000 families, including about 125,000 people, have been forced to leave their places of residence.
