Twin beams of light shine over New York on 9/11 anniversary

Two light beams illuminated New York City's skyline on Friday, 11 September for the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Visible for miles, the Municipal Art Society's annual "Tribute in Light" echoes the World Trade Center twin towers from a nearby parking structure, serving as a key symbol of remembrance.

The September 11, 2001 hijacked plane attacks hitting the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a Pennsylvania field killed nearly 3,000 people.
