🔶 Trump: Majtaba Khamenei has been “90 percent eliminated”

The U.S. president said that senior Iranian military commanders had been killed and that the country’s military capability had been severely weakened.

Donald Trump, on Monday, in an interview with Fox News, said that Iran’s senior military commanders had been killed and claimed that Majtaba Khamenei, the son of the former leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, “90 percent has been eliminated.”

Trump also claimed that Iran’s military capability has been greatly reduced.

He said: “They don’t have a navy anymore. They don’t have an air force either. Everything is gone. Their air defense has been destroyed and all their leaders have been killed.”

Trump added: “Their best commanders have been killed. They’re not there anymore. Khomeini is gone.”

In this part, he used the name Khomeini; he apparently meant Ali Khamenei, who, according to the scenario mentioned in this report, was killed on the first day of the joint U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran in late February. He then said: “His son too has been 90 percent eliminated.”

According to this report, Majtaba Khamenei is said to be recovering from injuries caused by an airstrike and, for that reason, he did not attend his father’s funeral ceremony held this month in Iran and Iraq.

The remarks were made while the U.S. and Iran, over the weekend, carried out attacks against each other again. Trump also said that the U.S. will reestablish Iran’s maritime blockade and will charge ships that use safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
