🔶 Trump: Iran is likely responsible for the attack on Saudi Arabia’s oil pipeline

Donald Trump, the U.S. president, said on Saturday, 21 Shahrivar (12 September), that Iran is likely responsible for an air attack on Saudi Arabia that led to the shutdown of the country’s “East-West” oil pipeline operations.

According to Reuters, speaking in Dublin in response to reporters’ questions about Iran’s responsibility in the attack, Trump added: “I think it was them; probably it was them.

The remarks came after a drone attack on Friday, 20 Shahrivar, on Saudi Arabia’s strategic “East-West” pipeline.

Iraq and Saudi Arabia have confirmed that the attack was carried out from Iraqi territory, where Iran-backed paramilitary groups operate.
