🔶 Trump calls report of Chinese institutions’ aid to Iran for attack on Jordan base insignificant

Donald Trump, U.S. president, dismissed a recent report by The Wall Street Journal in which it was claimed that Iran received satellite images of a U.S. base in Iran from China.

Trump, on Sunday, September 13 (September 22), told reporters aboard the presidential aircraft that “they’re basically doing the same thing we do. When they say that China is spying on us, I say yes, and we spy on them too.”

In its report, The Wall Street Journal, citing U.S. officials whose identities were not disclosed, wrote that before the attack on a U.S. military base in Jordan in July—an attack that led to the deaths of three U.S. service members—Iran received high-resolution satellite images of the base from Chinese entities.
