The Ukrainian army launched about 8,700 drones toward Moscow in August, the Russian capital’s Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said.

“A total of 8,670 unmanned aerial vehicles were detected flying toward the Moscow Region between 8:30 a.m. on August 1 and 8:30 a.m. on September 1. Air defenses shot down most of them on distant approaches, while 795 drones were destroyed on the outskirts of Moscow,” he wrote on the Max social media platform.
