The Israeli army said that airstrikes on Friday evening in southern Lebanon, in response to a Hezbollah drone attack, targeted members of the group and its infrastructure.
In a statement released on Saturday morning, the army said: “In response to the launching of a drone toward our forces in the security area, the Israel Defense Forces struck terrorists and infrastructure belonging to the terrorist organization Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.”
The Israeli army added that Hezbollah’s weapons depots were among the targets and said the depots were intended to attack Israel.
Lebanese health officials said three people were killed and 23 others injured in the Israeli attacks near Nabatieh and Ar-Ramadiyah.
