Matilde Årsell, the film’s lead actress, also received the Best Actress award. In this film, she plays a woman who, after a relationship with a German soldier, faces threats of arbitrary revenge.

John Malkovich also won the Best Actor award for his role as an unconventional CIA agent in the black comedy “Wild Thing No. 9.”

Also, “Noza,” a documentary made by two Israeli directors about the killing of civilians in Gaza by Israel, won the Special Jury Prize.

In the “Horizons” section of the Venice Film Festival as well, Laleh Marzban, an Iranian film actress in the film “Watch Out” directed by Mohsen Qarai, received the Best Actress award.
