🔶 The European Union Aviation Safety Agency said airlines should not fly in Jordan’s airspace. The agency said that, from mid-July 2026, the security situation in Jordan had rapidly deteriorated, and the ongoing increase in military activity had affected this country’s airspace.

The recommendation was issued after Jordan was increasingly targeted by Iranian missiles and drones in recent days.

The EU Aviation Safety Agency said that increased military activity in the region has created operational risks for civilian flights in Jordan’s airspace.

The agency previously advised airlines to avoid flying in the airspace of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon.

Expanding these warnings shows that the security crisis caused by Iran’s war has involved a wider range of air routes across the Middle East.

Dutch airline KLM has also canceled its flights to Dubai, Riyadh, and Dammam until August 23, 2026.

In an update to its travel advice on July 21, the airline cited current security risks in the region as the reason for the disruption.
