The Strait of Hormuz was fully open until February 28, when Israel attacked Iran. Washington has sparked an illegal and brutal war against the region and disrupted the normal flow of commercial shipping; oil tankers have been halted, trade has been disrupted, and energy prices are rising.

Now, the U.S. is trying to impose on the world the disruption factor that it itself has created and to write Iran’s name on it. In Washington’s narrative, the war that was initiated by the United States must be rewritten in a way that makes it a response to Iran’s conduct toward the world.

The United States has started the war, but it expects the entire world to foot the bill, while portraying Iran as the cause of this turmoil.
