🔺Senior commander of Hezbollah Brigades intended to travel to Singapore
▪Singapore said that the senior commander of Hezbollah Brigades in Iraq—an organization supported by the Islamic Republic—attempted on several occasions to enter Singapore, but he was not allowed to do so.
▪Mohammed Baqir Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, an Iraqi citizen whom U.S. officials consider to be among the senior commanders of Iraq’s “Hezbollah Brigades,” was arrested on May 15 and then transferred to the United States, where he is currently in custody.
▪In its annual report on its assessment of the terrorism threat, Singapore’s Internal Security Department wrote that he had “applied on three separate occasions in 2023 and 2024 to obtain a travel visa for Singapore, but ultimately did not travel to Singapore.”
