Qatar again called the Islamic Republic of Iran’s attacks on several countries in the region “unjustifiable” and condemned them.

Qatar’s permanent representative at the United Nations Office in Geneva said on Tuesday, at the sixty-third session of the UN Human Rights Council, that efforts to pull the countries of the region into existing conflicts would lead to further escalation and undermine diplomatic efforts to restore stability.

Abdulrahman Al Muftah called for an immediate halt to military actions and attacks.

Al Muftah also stressed the need to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, to return to diplomacy and dialogue, and to adhere to the understandings reached.
