🔶 Iraqچی met with Saudi and Turkish foreign ministers to discuss security in the Strait of Hormuz
Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s foreign minister, held separate phone talks with his Saudi and Turkish counterparts, Faisal bin Farhan and Hakan Fidan, to review the dimensions of the latest developments in the region.
According to a statement by Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides discussed, in these talks, recent diplomatic efforts aimed at “creating stability in the region and ending insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz”; insecurity and tensions that Iran says stem from “the aggressive actions of the United States.”
Araqchi previously said, in a message posted on the X social network, that restoring diplomacy to its proper course is not impossible, but that this requires the United States to understand that its pressure policy will not be effective.
