Amir Hayat-Moqaddam, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, in an interview with ILNA, called the new wave of U.S. attacks on Iran a violation of all the clauses of the understanding and warned: “If they hit once, we will respond with ten.”

He said the reasons for the recent U.S. attacks are “mixed up” by Americans, due to their “witnessing an unparalleled funeral procession” for Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic who was killed, as well as their “breach of commitment,” and claimed that Iran is now “a top power in the region” that has the ability to respond to U.S. attacks.

Hayat-Moqaddam, claiming that the Islamic Republic holds control of the Strait of Hormuz, said: “We are in control, and they have no way to the Persian Gulf.”

The member of parliament also launched harsh attacks on the Arab countries on the shores of the Persian Gulf and warned that if the United States attacks infrastructure, the Islamic Republic will first target U.S. positions in the region and then will attack the “entire infrastructure” of the countries that have allowed the United States to carry out attacks from their soil against Iran.
