Mehdi Movahedi-Azad, on the program “Outlook,” said: “The victory of the far-right in Germany will be more consequential in Tehran, Qom, and Moscow than in Germany itself, and could lead to the weakening of Europe and the strengthening of Vladimir Putin, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and Mojtaba Khamenei.”

He added: “The rise of the far-right in Germany could expand the scope of action for dictators and, at the same time, increase concern among immigrants and political refugees about the coming to power of anti-immigrant governments.”
