Mehdi Mehdavi-Azad said on the program “Eyandaz” that the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement was an exceptional revolution that, with the participation of women, men, and even part of the government’s body, became a turning point in the history of the Islamic Republic. He added that the consequences of this movement, from the intensification of repression to subsequent developments, stem from the way the government confronted the protests of 1401.

He also said that the suppression of the protests and the return of security figures to the structure of power indicated a change in the Islamic Republic’s approach after the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement, and these protests left a lasting impact on the course of political developments in Iran.
