🔻Major changes and transformations in the French Football Federation (FFF) to usher in a new era with Zinedine Zidane have reached the final stages. It is expected that after the end of Didier Deschamps’ 14-year and highly successful tenure, the official appointment of “Zizou” will be announced next Tuesday, with a four-year contract.
🔹The process of forming the new coaching staff has been underway for months, in coordination with Philippe Diallo, the federation’s president. Zidane intends to be accompanied by his longtime assistants, David Bettoni and Habydo Mesaydi. The presence of Grégory Dupont, a fitness coach, along with his former teammates from the 1998 World Cup—Fabien Barthez and Bernard Diomède—is also expected in the new staff. The federation also emphasizes renewal, expanding the coaching staff, and increasing women’s presence in technical areas.
🔹Zidane’s first major challenge will be the UEFA Nations League competitions in late Shahrivar and Mehr; where France will play Turkey, Belgium, and Italy across four matches. The big goal of this path is success at Euro 2028.
