Mahan Airlines said in a statement on Wednesday, 25 Shahrivar (September 16), that its flights on the Tehran–Muscat–Tehran route will be canceled from 26 Shahrivar (September 17) until further notice, which corresponds to 17 September.

Mahan said it has cited the aviation authorities of Oman as the reason for canceling these flights.

The company also said in a separate statement that, based on the announcement by Turkey’s aviation authorities, Mahan flights from Iran to Turkey, including Istanbul, Ankara, and vice versa, will be canceled from 30 Shahrivar (September 20) until further notice, which corresponds to 21 September.

Mahan added that the company’s last flights on the Tehran–Istanbul, Tehran–Ankara and vice versa routes will be carried out on 29 Shahrivar (September 19).

Etemad Iran news agency also reported on Tuesday, 24 Shahrivar (September 15), citing an informed source, that the Georgian government, in response to new U.S. sanctions, will stop flights of all Iranian airlines to this country starting from next Monday.

Etemad Iran added that its review of several travel agencies shows that sales of tours to Georgia will also be carried out only until Sunday, 29 Shahrivar (September 19).
