Lindsey Graham, a senior and prominent U.S. Republican Party senator, has died.

The official office of the 71-year-old politician announced that he died on the evening of Saturday, July 11, 2026 (21 Tir), after contracting a “brief and sudden illness.”

Graham was known as one of the main and key figures in U.S. foreign policy. He held very hardline and hawkish positions against Iran and Russia, and was considered one of the main and most steadfast supporters of Israel in the U.S. Congress.
